Lawrence "Larry" Amos Wilson, a master Mason and decade-long employee at Tarrant County College, died Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, at his home. He was 48. Funeral: 1 p.m. Thursday in White's Azle Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Goshen Cemetery in Springtown. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at White's Azle Funeral Home. Larry was born May 5, 1957, in Fort Worth. Fondly referred to as "Big L" by his friends and family, he was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Larry spent much of his life involved with the Boy Scouts, including 21 years as a Scout leader. He helped guide many young people to the level of Eagle Scout, including his two sons. He also served eight years in the Texas Army National Guard. Larry was a master Mason with Lodge 1410 in Lake Worth. He graduated from TCC with an associate's degree in arts and sciences and worked for 10 years in the college's instructional media department. Larry loved reading and creative writing and was strong in his faith and in his desire to serve others. Survivors: His wife, Cindy; son, Christopher Lynn and wife, Stephanie; son, Justin Lawrence and wife, Veronica; mother, Mary Jim; brother, James Edgar; brother, Rodger Clinton and wife, Katharine; nephew, Andrew Clinton; niece, Meghan Marie; nephew, Matthew Morris and wife, Bell; and a large extended family and many friends.
