Elwyn L. Fulfer, 76, a retired conductor with Santa Fe Railroad, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 2, at his home in Weatherford. Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, Nov. 7, 2005, at Highland Baptist Church in Lubbock. Visitation will be from 7 until 9 p.m., Sunday at Resthaven Funeral Home.Mr. Fulfer was born in Matador and was a resident of Lubbock for 47 years. He was a former member of Highland Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for 31 years. Mr. Fulfer was ordained a deacon at College Ave. Baptist Church in 1955. He was a member of the First Baptist Church ofWeatherford and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. In 1948, he married Dorothy Bearden. Mr. Fulfer was a U. S. Navy Veteran.Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Dorothy; son, Michael Fulfer and wife Cecile, all of Weatherford; daughter, Sherri Harvey and husband, Richard of Wichita Falls; brother, Rev. Norris Fulfer of Los Angeles, Calif; sister, Chloye McGowen of Lubbock; four grandchildren, Amanda Fulfer Wallace of Weatherford, Matthew Allen Rampy of Austin, Holly Brooke Rampy of Wichita Falls, and Cameron Michael Fulfer of Weatherford; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Chelcie Wallace of Weatherford.
