Eleanor Lee Hale, 85, a faithful companion, partner, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005, in Azle. Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday, Pisgah United Methodist Church, 2100 E. Mountain Street, Kernersville, N.C. Burial: Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home in Kernersville, N.C. Eleanor was born May 29, 1920, to Grady and Eleanor Thrasher in Oconee County, Ga. She was a faithful member of Pisgah Methodist Church. Eleanor had moved to Azle in 2001 to be closer to her children. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Loyd; two brothers; and two sisters. Survivors: Son, Gerry C. Hale; daughter, Donna Venable and husband Lonnie; grandchildren, Connie Roach and husband, Darrell, of Keller and Cary Venable and wife, Tammy, of Wichita Falls and Robert Lloyd and wife, Amanda, Stephen Douglas and wife, Mandy, of Austin; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, William A. Thrasher of Marietta, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
