Craig T. Smith, 64, a retired Union Pacific locomotive engineer, died Friday, December 30, 2005 at his home.Craig T. Smith was born September 18, 1941 in Macomb, Illinois to Dr. Howard and Dorothy Smith. Mr. Smith married Janet Kay Hart, April 1996 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was a locomotive engineer for the Union Pacific Railroad, and a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, Sons of the American Legion, and the United Methodist Men's club of Brock United Methodist Church. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Richard Howard Smith and Shirley Ayres Smith. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Janet Kay Smith of Weatherford; son, Jeff Smith and wife, Rene of Fort Worth; daughters, Lynn Smith of Arlington, Jennifer Sharp and husband, Darin of Highland Village; step-son, Joel Doering and wife, Lori of Little Elm; step-daughter, Heather Frank and husband, Craig of North Freedom, WI. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters.A Memorial Service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2006 at Couts Memorial United Methodist Church in Weatherford. The family will receive guests 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford.
