Waymon Wright

AZLE -- Waymon Wright, 73, a retired dairy farmer and Parker County Commissioner, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2006 in Azle. Funeral: 1:00 p.m., Saturday at White's Funeral Home in Springtown. Burial: Veal Station Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Friday at White's Funeral Home. Memorials: Silver Creek United Methodist Church of Azle Mexico Missions. Mr. Wright was born November 2, 1932, in Parker County, the son of the late Claude and Ella Wright. He was a lifelong resident of the Silver Creek Community near Azle. On Nov. 7, 1953 he married Margaret Jean Martin. In 1962 they began their career in the dairy business until his retirement in 1994. Mr. Wright was Parker County Precinct 1 Commissioner for 20 years. He was a lifelong member of Silver Creek Methodist Church and a forty year member of the Azle Masonic Lodge. Mr. Wright was a great "People Person" who will be truly missed by many friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; and one sister. Survivors: Wife, Margaret Wright of Azle; daughters, Janet Merck and husband Sam, Dena Hall and husband, Clint; grandchildren, Bradley Merck and wife, Misty, Blake Merck, Maeghan Hall and Hunter Hall all of Azle; sisters, Gladys Gilley of Azle, Vonnie Holmes and husband, Marshall of Azle; brothers, Norvin Wright and wife, Clara of Weatherford, Harold Ray Wright and wife, Dot of Azle; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
