Robert "Bob" Elee CpperRobert "Bob" Elee Cooper, 84, passed away Monday, April 3, 2006 at in Alamo.Bob was a veteran of both the United States Army and the United States Air Force, serving the military for 26 years through World War II, the Korean Conflict and up until the Vietnam police action era. He retired as a Sargent Major from the U.S. Air Force. After retirement, he was a rancher for many years in Springtown. He enjoyed and had fond memories of traveling to numerous square dance events throughout the United States and Europe.Bob grew up in Hugo, Oklahoma as a member of a family including his mother and father and eight brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ada Coffee and father, George W. Cooper; brothers, Bill, Dan, Luther, and Arther Cooper; sisters, Sylvia Nitch and Cornise Raney.Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Mary Robinson Cooper; son, Brady Cooper and wife, Diane; grandchildren, Eric Cooper and wife, Dana, Lindsey Wiedeman and husband, Matt, and Shane Cooper; great granddaughter, Riley Kate Wiedeman; sisters, Judy and husband, Paul Hennington, Bonnie Thomas; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services are scheduled 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2006 at White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford, Texas. Bob will be laid to rest 3 p.m. in Mead, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford.
