Charles Edward Cottongame, Sr., 57, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2006 in Bedford. Funeral: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 11, 2006 at Hilltop Family Church. Burial: Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at White's Funeral Home. Charles was born April 27, 1949 the son of Sam Cottongame and Bonnie Johnson in Frost. He was a longtime resident of Springtown. Family and friends were the main interest of Charlie. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors: Daughter, Dana Swink; son, Charlie Cottongame, Jr.; parents, Bonnie Johnson and husband, Glenn, all of Springtown; brother, Marvin Cottongame and wife, Debra of Springtown; sister, Marie Burcie and husband, Frank of Arlington; brothers, Wesley Cottongame and wife, Donna of Springtown, Eric Johnson and wife, Stacy of Weatherford; and only grandchild, Demri Swink of Springtown.
