Wauretta "Rita" Hendrix, 89, a retired Federal employee, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, May 19, 2006 in Fort Worth.Funeral: 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 23,2006 at First Baptist Church in Weatherford. Burial: Memory Gardens of the Valley. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Monday, May 22, 2006 at White's Funeral Home. Rita was born January 15, 1917 in Parker County to Charlie and Lela Campbell Parks. She attended public schools in Parker County and graduated from Peaster High School. Rita was a long time employee of Kings Candy in Fort Worth. She married Willard W. Hendrix, July 3, 1959 in Fort Worth. They moved to Houston in 1961 where she retired February 19, 1976 from the Johnson Space Center. They then moved to Weatherford in 1977. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Weatherford. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Neil and Lloyd Parks, four sisters, Ethel Chilcutt, Cleo Crockett, Lois Fay Chilcutt and Lamoine Combs.Survivors: three nephews, Vernon Chilcutt and wife, Dorothy of Weatherford and Weldon Parks of Lewisville, Larry Parks of Peoria, AR; seven nieces, Mattie Wickham and husband, Benny of Cleburne, Nona Baxter of Hobbs, NM, Billie Amrine and husband, Robert of Crowley, Kittie Armstrong and husband, Harold of Bossier City, LA.,Melba Blair and husband, Melvyn of Springtown, Janelle Cobb and husband, Jack of Plains and Lela Warren and husband, Jim of Plains, step-daughter, Nelda Richards of Pottstown, PA, sister-in-law, Mary Lou Parks of Plains, numerous cousins, great nephews and great nieces and a host of friends.
