Gorden William Hart

In loving memory of Gorden W. Hart, who departed this earth on June 8, 2006. Gorden was born in Parker County to Edgar and Effie Hart. He served his country in World War II, stationed for twenty-seven months in the South Pacific. He retired from Diamond Shamrock Oil and Gas Company at the McKee plant after 37 years of employment.Gorden was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Effie Alice Plumlee Hart and infant son, Edgar Robert Hart in 1950.Gorden is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Lou Thomas Hart; two daughters, Kay Miller and husband, Jay of Whitney, and Shirley Williams of Duncanville; four grandchildren, Kevin Miller of San Carlos, CA, Julie Chambers and husband, Gabe of Oak Point, Krista Wolf and husband, Michael of Dallas, and Kelly Williams of Dallas; three great grandchildren, Kaleb, London, and Laurel Chambers; brother, Marshal Hart of Weatherford; and many more loving family members.Funeral services will take place at White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford, 10 a.m. Monday, June 12, 2006. Burial will follow in the Zion Hill Cemetery, Weatherford. Mr. Hart will lie in state beginning 9 a.m. until service time on Monday for visitation.
