Aledo - Cynthia Ferne Smith Gramer, 47, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 10, 2006. She was born October 18, 1958, in Mena, Arkansas, the firstborn child of Paul K. and Verna Jean "Jill" Smith. She was preceded in death by her father and an infant sister, Melody Joan Smith. Cindy's life was a testimony to God's wonderful grace and love. The love she had for her Savior was reflected by the time she spent in His Word. Precious friendships were formed through the many Bible study groups she was involved in. Cindy's zest for life was eclipsed only by her faith in God and by her love for her family. She loved cheering for her children in their sports and musical activities. She also enjoyed music, photography, and the beautiful outdoors.Survivors include her husband of 17 years, Jay Gramer; daughter, Jaylyn Gramer and son, Jacob Gramer all of Aledo; step-daughter, Laura Gramer of Aledo; mother, Verna Jean "Jill" Smith of Cove, Arkansas; brother, Greg Smith and wife, May of Cove, Arkansas; sisters, Lisa Rogers and husband, Charles of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Peggy Ward and husband, Rick of Cove, Arkansas; maternal grandmother, Elsie Eason of Mena, Arkansas; two nieces, three nephews; two great nieces; many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
