Vancle "Tillie" V. Gilley, 76, of Azle, passed away Friday, July 7, 2006 in Fort Worth.Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 10 at White's Azle Chapel. Burial will follow at Hoggard-Reynolds Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at White's Azle Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Community Hospice of Texas, 1111 Summit Ave., Fort Worth, Texas 76102.V.V. Gilley was born May 28, 1930,in Parker County, the son of Carl and Ruby Gilley. He worked 46 years for General Dynamics/Lockheed. He was in Belgium for the F-16 co-production program and also in Holland, Norway and Denmark; three years in Brussells, Belgium as Program Manager at Sabca Plant. He also was the Director of the Lockheed-Martin Resident Office for seven years in Ankara, Turkey. Van was a member of the Management Club and was well respected and well thought of by his employees. He was also involved in the manufacturing of the B-36, B-58, F-111, and F-16. He was an outdoorsman and loved gardening and working in his yard. Van was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Gilley and son, Rodger W. Gilley; parents; and a sister, Maxine Henderson. Survivors include his son, Thomas Gilley and his wife, Barbara; daughter, Colleen Gilley; daughter-in-law, Ann Gilley; grandsons, Trey Lawyer and his wife, Gerri, Robert Gilley and his wife, Tracy, and Mark Gilley and his wife, Corrie; great-grandsons, Ethan Gilley and Logan Gilley; brother, Carl Gilley; sisters, Mona Young and Joyce Moody; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
