Toinette Marie Kidd

Toinette Kidd, 77, a retired teacher, went peacefully with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, July 18, 2006.Toinette Marie Futrell was born June 1, 1929, in Forney, Texas to Wiley and Lois Futrell. Known to all her many friends and family as Toni, she grew up in the Forney area. She graduated from North Texas in Denton then taught in the Fort Worth ISD for fifteen years. She met and later married Eddie W. Kidd on December 24, 1952. They lived in the Arlington area for a number of years then moved to Weatherford in 1970. Toni was active in the Eastern Star Chapter in Weatherford and went on to a District position. Also active in the Federated Women's Club, she was involved in many civic activities and held offices in the local chapter and State level. Toni loved to travel and she took many trips in our country as well as abroad. She will be missed and loved by all that knew her.Toni is survived by her husband, Eddie Kidd; son, Kelly and wife, Carla of Arlington; daughter, Phyllis Meyer and husband, Nick of Baton Rouge; grandsons, Luke and Michael Kidd; granddaughters, Stacy Meyer Thrower and Jessica Meyer; three great grandchildren; three sisters; and numerous dear relatives and friends.Funeral services are scheduled 10 a.m. Friday at White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford. Burial following in the East Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford. The family will receive guests from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford.
