Wilma McCallister Claywell, 84,our precious Mother, Mamaw, sister, aunt, and friend, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 19, 2006.A longtime Weatherford resident, Wilma was a homemaker and retired employee of Hutch's Pie and Sandwich Shop. She was born on November 16, 1921 at the family ranch in Young County, Texas, the daughter of Eva Sitton and William C. McCallister. She was a 1938 graduate of Newcastle High School and a longtime member of North Side Baptist Church in Weatherford. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband of 57 years, O.O. "Red" Claywell; two sisters, Oleta Reasoner and Opal Vick; nieces, Betty Brown and Joan Hamilton.The family wishes to express their appreciation to the entire staff of Alpha Omega Hospice for the care that Mrs. Claywell received.She is survived by her sister, Ruba Weldon of Denton, daughters, Lavonia Taff of Fort Worth, Sandra Grant and husband, James of Fort Worth, Kay Mallory and husband, Bill of Weatherford, Sue Hutchens and husband, David of Weatherford; and son, Tommy Claywell and wife, Pam of Weatherford; 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew.Funeral services are scheduled 10 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2006 at White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford with the Reverend Van Houser officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Weatherford.
