Nora E. May

Nora E. May, age 99, of Weatherford, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2006 at a local hospital.Nora May was born August 1, 1907, in White Flats, Texas, the oldest of nine children to Sidney Claud and Mary Emily Bristow Dean. She worked for American Airlines for 23 years in charge of Food Services developing menus for all flights. After retirement, Nora moved back to Weatherford and volunteered her time in Community Education, Meals on Wheels, and in the Hospital Auxiliary. Nora was a member of First Baptist Church where she was very active in teaching Women's Bible Study classes for several years. She loved to serve family and friends in her home throughout her life. Above all, she loved and served her Lord God.Survivors include her brother, Douglas Dean; sisters, Della Doty, Cecil Kingston, Janet Gregory; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at the First Baptist Church in Weatherford. Burial will follow in the East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford.
