Carl Alonzo Headley

Carl A. Headley, 68, a truck driver, went to be with the Lord Thursday, September 7, 2006. Funeral: 2:00 p.m., Monday at White's Funeral Home. Burial: New Hope Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Sunday. Carl Headley was born October 5, 1937 in Talladega County, Alabama, the oldest of ten children, to Lonzy and Odell Pate Headley. He was a loving husband, father and "Pa Pa". Mr. Headley was a resident of Poolville for many years. Carl married Ruth Hines July 5, 1957 and they recently celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary. He attended the Poolville Baptist Church. Mr. Headley was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jeanette; and three infant siblings. Survivors: Wife, Ruth Headley of Poolville; sons, Danny Ray Headley and wife, Deanna of Poolville, David Lee Headley of Lansing MI; daughter, Cathy Atchison and husband, Tim of Poolville; granddaughters, Tina Vianelli and husband, George of Fort Bragg, NC, Christine and Stephanie Headley and their mother, Nelia Headley all of Lansing MI, Jessica Cox of Bridgeport; grandsons, Andrew Cox and Colton Atchison both of Poolville; great-grandson, George Vianelli, IV of Ft. Bragg, NC; six brothers and sisters; and a host of loving family members and friends.
