Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at White's Mineral Wells Chapel. Burial: Graford Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at White's Funeral Home. Melba was born August 26, 1943 in Dumas to Harvey and Murl Armstrong. She was along time resident of Palo Pinto County. Melba loved her family and her garden. She was preceded in death by her parents,a brother and a sister.Survivors: son, Ron Smith and wife, Tammy of Azle; daughter, Tisha Sanchez and husband, Dale of Mineral Wells; brothers, Terry Armstrong of Wash.,Stan Armstrong of Azle and Eddie Sparks of Jacksboro; sisters, Avis Armstrong of Okla., and Hazel Canterberry of Amarillo; grandchildren, Taylor, Garrison, and Branson Sanchez, Jocelyn and Michael Smith;also numerous friends, nieces, nephews and acquaintances.
