Linda Oritz Weiss, 58, of Malta, NY, died Friday, October 13, 2006 at herdaughter's residence in Azle, TX after a courageous five year battle withbreast cancer.A mass will be held at St.Stephen's Catholic Church in Weatherford, TX onMonday, October 16 at 10:00 a.m. Father John Casey will be the celebrantwith Father Jeff Poirot as concelebrant. Burial will be at Memory GardensCemetery. Visitation will be at White's Funeral home in Weatherford from4-8 p.m. on Sunday, October 15. The Rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m.Linda was born October 21, 1947 in Ranger. She moved to Millsap in 1958and graduated from Millsap High School in 1965. Linda married herhusband, Rick, on December 2, 1967. She then traveled extensivelythroughout the United States, Asia and Europe during their life together. Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. In additionto her service as a military wife, Linda volunteered her time with The RedCorss in the Phillipines, Meals on Wheels in Humble, St. Philip's CatholicChurch in Huffman and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ballston Spa, NY. Shewas preceded in death by her son, Martin Douglas Weiss and her father,Martin Ortiz.Linda is survived by her husband of 39 years, Rick Weiss of Malta, NY; daughter, Donna Cashion andhusband, Philip of Azle; granddaughters Brittany Lynn Cashion, MelissaDiane Cashion and Abigail Grace Cashion; mother, Erlinda Ortiz of Millsap;brothers, Joe Ortiz and wife, Becky of Midland, Tony Ortiz and wife, Heidiof Millsap; Bernardo Ortiz and wife, Kathy of Millsap, Johnny Ortiz andwife Angie of Houston, Al Ortiz and wife, Tammy of Porter; sisters, NickiPresser and husband Joe, Dorothy Hall and husband, Gary of Cool; andnumerous other family members and friends.
