James W. Harris , 78, passed away Friday, October 13, 2006 in Fort Worth.Funeral: 2:00 p.m., Monday at White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford. Burial: Memory Gardens. Visitation: 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday at White's Funeral Home. James Harris was born April 19, 1928,the son of Horace and Eula Harris in Colfax. He was a long time resident of Shreveport. Mr. Harris was a man who liked to fish and to do what he wanted. He loved his family and his dog, Lucy. James was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Survivors: Loving wife of 51 years, Sue Harris; daughters, Wanda Clements and husband, Richard, Kathy Autry and husband Franklin; son, Larry Harris and wife, Leigh; grandchildren, James and Sarah Clements, Susan Autry, Nathan and Christopher Harris; mother-in-law, Irene Berg; and many friends and acquaintances.
