Avis Lenahan Bains, 93, went to her heavenly home with the Lord, Saturday,October 28, 2006 in Weatherford.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 31 at White'sChapel of Memories. There will be visitation with the family from 6 to 8 P.M. Monday, October 30 at White's Funeral Home. Followed with burial atMemory Gardens Cemetery.Avis was born July 29, 1913 in Leesville, LA. to Eugene and Susie Lenahan.She married A.O. Bains in 1943 and they raised two daughters. Avis hasresided in Weatherford since 1972 and was an active member of CalvaryMethodist Church. She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmotherand great-grandmother. Avis was preceded in death by her husband, herparents, and her sisters, Etoile France, Ora Wolfe and Miriam Smith.Survivors: daughters, Sharon Bains Cotter and her husband, Steve andJeanine Bains Chiasson all of Weatherford; sister, Eugenia Wilson ofHouston; grandchildren, Troy Elam, Piper Elam and wife, Alisha, KimberlyChiasson, Jason Chiasson and Shane Chiasson and wife, Valorie; fourgreat-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
