Shirley M. Samaniego, 71, a teacher, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2006 in Perrin.Funeral: 3:00 P.M. Saturday, November 11 at the First Baptist Church in Perrin. Burial: Perrin Memorial Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at White's Funeral Home in Mineral Wells. Shirley was born December 15, 1934 in Booneville, Calif. to Harold and Selma McGrath. She was a long time resident of Perrin and loved her life as a teacher and caregiver. After retiring from public schools, she continued teaching and helping others through home schooling and starting Christian Schools. Her life was one that shared God's love with everyone she encountered. Shirley was a member of the Perrin Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Aileen McGrath, husband, Ernest (Sam) Samaniego, sons, Sam Samaniego and Darren King Samaniego and great-grandson, Isaiah Harris.Survivors: children, Stephanie Randall and husband, Josh, Jason Samaniego and Derek Samaniego; brother, Martin McGrath; sisters, Shyla West, Lorena Keck and Mary-Murphy Onello; step-sons, Ernest Jr. Samaniego and John K. Samaniego; grandchildren, Tabby Brooks and husband, Lee, Rachael Cameron, Robby Cameron, Bryce Cameron, Zachary Samaniego, Angie Samaniego and Lexie Summerhill; great-grandchildren, Piercyn Brooks and Shaynne Samaniego and many friends who have become family throughout the years.
