June Brodie

June Brodie, born in June 1915, aged 91 years, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2006.June was a sweet and gentle Christian descended from pioneer families who helped settle western Parker County. She had lived in Amarillo, Millsap, Soda Springs, Springdale, AR, Weatherford and Azle. She had lived the past five years in a west-side care facility. She loved family, was a great mother, an excellent cook, loved baseball, and anything about the pioneer days.She was a longtime member of the Azle Church of Christ.The family wishes to thank the Courtyards of Fort Worth, Samaritan Care Hospice, Harris Hospital, JPS Hospital, and the former Osteopathic Hospital for helping us keep her for five more years.She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Leon, and three brothers.She is survived by her daughter, Dollie and husband, Rick of Aledo; son, Arthur of Fort Worth; three grandchildren, Donald, Michael, and Carla; four great grandchildren, Robin, MaryAnn, Christopher and Crystal; and three great-great grandchildren, Nathan, Brandon, and Cameron.Funeral services are scheduled 2 p.m. Monday, November 13, 2006 at White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford. Burial will follow in East Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
