Altie E. Jackson

Altie E. Jackson, 90, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2006. Altie was born Dec. 17, 1915 in Eastland County and lived in Weatherford from 1947 to 2004. She had lived in Dallas with her son for the last 2 years. Altie retired from Weatherford College (Food Service) in 1991. She volunteered at Campbell Memorial Hospital and was a past member of Pythian Sisters (Chapter-Columbian Temple #4). She was a long time member of North Side Baptist Church. Altie was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Marvin M. Jackson; and oldest son, Michael M. Jackson. Survivors include son, Patrick Jackson and his wife, Robin, of Dallas; grandchildren, Jeff Jackson of Weatherford, Gayle Hannigan of San Jose, Calif. and Stephan Jackson of Greenville, N.C.; and five great-grandchildren.Graveside services were held 10 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2006 in East Greenwood Cemetery, corner of Front Street and Mill Street, Weatherford.
