G. R. Stephens, 77, died Wednesday, December 6, 2006.G. R. Stephens was born April 19, 1929 in Slidell, Tx. the son of Guy Randolph and Laurenia Belcher Stephens. He was an employee of Martin Sprockett and Gear for 35 years, retiring in 1987.He was preceded in death by his father, Guy Randolph Stephens in 1977 and son, Guy Roy Stephens in 1984.Survivors include wife, Dovie Stephens of Weatherford; son, Stanley Stephens and wife, Raelynn of Walnut Springs; daughter, Janie Stephens Keith of Weatherford; grandson, Jerry Dean Garner and wife, Dawn; great grandson, J. Dixon Garner of Willow Park; mother, Laurenia Stephens; sisters, Lucille Luttrell, Lynne Brown, Sherry Harral; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.Funeral services are scheduled 2 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2006 at White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford. Burial will follow in the Tin Top Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
