Jerry "Red" Shafer-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WEATHERFORD -- Jerry G. Shafer, 59, passed away Friday, December 8, 2006. Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at White's Springtown Funeral Home. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Jerry Shafer was born Nov. 18, 1947 in Roscoe. He was an electrician with TD Industries. Mr. Shafer was preceded in death by his nephew, Aaron Shafer in 2000. Survivors: wife, Mary Barrow Shafer of Weatherford; sons, Shay Shafer of Azle, Chance Shafer of River Oaks, Sheldon Shafer and Jace Shafer, both of Springtown; daughters, Dawn Haggard of Calera, Okla., Chelsie Shafer of Springtown; parents, Red and Doris Shafer of Trent; stepson, Eddie Love of Newark; stepdaughter, Tammy Evans of Bridgeport; brother, Leroy Shafer of Missouri City; seven grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren.
