Carolyn Jean Clark Gouge

Carolyn Jean Clark Gouge, born in Weatherford on March 24, 1944, died at her home on Monday, December 18, 2006 at the age of 62.She was a precious wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister and sister-in-law, who always thought of her family before herself. She was a homemaker and had recently retired as a child care provider from First Baptist Day Care Center in Weatherford. She was a good friend to many; she loved friendships and friends and was endeared and loved by everyone. She loved sewing, cooking, and working in her flower garden. Carolyn also loved the outdoors and found happiness camping and fishing with her family. One of her greatest joys in life was watching her granddaughter grow into a beautiful young lady.Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Lorene Clark, sisters-in-law, Phynetta Clark and Alicia Gouge and niece, Kodie Gouge.She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Loyd E. Gouge; son, Clinton E. Gouge and wife, Dawn of Palo Pinto County; daughter, Trenna Gouge Hawkins and husband, Jimmy of Weatherford; granddaughter, Jeanna Hawkins of Weatherford; brother, Ronnie Clark and wife, Sherry of Weatherford; sister, Brenda Rowan and husband, Bobby of Caldwell. She is also survived by brother and sister-in-laws, Waymon and Tommy Jean Gouge, David and Frances Gouge, Richard and Lori Gouge and Tim and Kay Gouge, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews and beloved friends.Service of Remembrance will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the South Main Church of Christ, 201 South Main Street, Weatherford, with Pastor Murphy Phillips and Pastor Forrest Bass officiating. Serving as Pallbearers will be Cliff Clark, Jeff Clark, Randy DuValle, Chad Gouge, Timothy Gouge, Wesley Gouge, Hayden Hollis, and Billy Morsko. Burial will follow in the Clark Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford.Memorials may also be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 1004 7th Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76104.
