Francis (Frank) Xavier Guidry, 87, departed this life, Friday, December 29, 2006.Born in Grand Coteau, Louisiana, a loving husband to the late Nadyne Wood Guidry, and devoted father and grandfather, Frank's life was filled with many accomplishments that are a testament to a life of dedication, hard work, and a true sense of personal ethics. Frank learned to serve others both as a contractor by trade and also a WWII Staff Sergeant in the Army Air Corp. An avid baseball and softball player, fisherman and hunter, Frank knew the importance of enjoying all life had to offer, "one day at a time." Frank taught the importance of family to those left to cherish his memory. His life will forever be celebrated by daughter, Maggie Guidry Maberry and husband, Dan of Weatherford, with children, Brittany, Ashley, Adam, Dale and Dean; daughter, Jane Guidry and partner, Melissa Solomon of Rocky Mount, NC, with children, Leigh-Ann, Kristina and Kathan. Frank was also a very proud great-grandfather of eight.Although Frank's adult life was happily rooted in Texas, his early years in Louisiana were an integral part of the man he became. Frank also leaves behind many nieces and nephews to which his Cajun heart will always be tied. A rosary will be held Monday, January 1, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford. The graveside service will be held in Lubbock, Texas on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the Lubbock City Cemetery.
