J. W. Leamon

J.W. Leamon, 88, of Weatherford, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2006 at a local nursing home.James Willoughby (J.W.) Leamon was born February 1918 in Monks Town, Fannin County, Texas the son of the late Dewitt Talmage Leamon and Eddis Viola Fullen, living most of his life in Colleyville. J.W. served in the United States Army as a staff sergeant later serving as a firefighter for twenty-nine years at Bell Helicopter. He retired to Granbury, Texas in 1982 before moving to Weatherford.His wife, Sarah Leamon, precedes him in death.J.W. is survived by his two sons, Tommy Leamon, Sr. of Springtown and Mark Leamon of Granbury; grandchildren, Kelley Mansell of Weatherford, Shawn Leamon of Granbury, Tommy Leamon Jr. of Saginaw and Benjamin Leamon of Allen; three great grandchildren, Kacey Howell of Weatherford, Zackary Logue of Weatherford and Brandi Leamon of Saginaw; and four brothers.
