Larry Hunt Calhoun

Larry Hunt Calhoun, 65, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, went to be with his heavenly Father on Sunday, February 4, 2007.Larry was born August 12, 1941, in Mineral Wells, Texas, to the late Oscar Franklin Calhoun and Reba Myrle Scoggin Calhoun. He graduated from Springtown High School, received his Associates Degree from Weatherford College and attended North Texas State University in Denton, Texas. He was a former banker, home builder, and real estate broker. Larry will be missed by all who knew and loved him.He is survived by his wife, Elsie Sampson Calhoun of Weatherford; mother, Reba Calhoun of Weatherford; daughter, Jennifer Miller and husband, Mike of Houston; son, Tracy Calhoun of Little Elm; stepdaughters, Jeana Hartley and husband, Ken of Weatherford and Kristy Scott of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Blake Miller and Cole Miller of Houston, Nicole and Chelsea Calhoun of New York, Brooke Calhoun of Fort Worth; step grandchildren, Jessica Wyatt and husband, Travis of Watauga, Justin Southerland of Weatherford, Kendell Hartley of Weatherford, and Ian Scott of Fort Worth; step great grandchildren, Gage Southerland and Bella Southerland of Weatherford, and Odis Wyatt and Alexandria Wyatt of Watauga; brother, Donald Calhoun and wife, Doris of Azle; nephew, Jim Calhoun and wife, Susan of Azle; niece, Cindy Farquhar and husband, Jim of Springtown; and his beloved dog, Rookie.Funeral services are scheduled 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at Grace First Presbyterian Church, 606 Mockingbird Lane, Weatherford, Texas. Burial will be in the Wampler Cemetery, Weatherford. Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Avenue, Weatherford, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations to American Cancer Society or to a charity of choice in memory of Larry is suggested.
