Richard Michael Tyler

Richard Tyler, 53, a loving father and devoted grandfather, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lighthouse Methodist Church. Burial: Ash Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at White's Azle Funeral Home. Richard was born Aug. 20, 1953, in Fort Worth to David and Ruth Tyler. He loved serving his community and was the chief of Spillway Volunteer Fire Department. Richard was preceded in death by his father. Survivors: Wife, Lawana; son, David Tyler; daughter, Bryony Hyzer and husband, Bob; partner, Debbie Barton; brothers, Sheldon Lee Tyler, Danny Wayne Tyler; sister, Doris Helen Trammell; grandchildren, Joshua, Patience Hyzer; mother and stepfather, Ruth and Calvin Turnage; two stepbrothers; two stepsisters; and numerous other relatives.
