Mary Ann (Rogers)Landers,82, passed away after a brief illness, Saturday, February 10, 2007 in Azle.Graveside service: 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Ash Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Monday at White's Azle Funeral Home. Memorials: in lieu of flowers please make contributions to Compass Hospice, PO Box 1147, Decatur, Texas 76234.Mrs. Landers was born in Poolville on December 19, 1924. She was a 60 year resident of Azle and had been a resident of Azle Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Landers taught in Azle Schools for 30 years and loved seeing the children she taught grow to adulthood. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lowell and Nettie Rogers, her brothers, Randall and Richard Rogers; sister, Helen Rogers Brown and son-in-law, John Cordell. Survivors: children, Louis Franklin Landers, Jr. and wife, Anne of Tenn., John Roger Landers and wife, Gay of Fla., Frances Elaine Tamez and husband, Pete of Fort Worth and Sharon Evonne Cordell of Flower Mound; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Louise Rogers Vereen of White Settlement.
