Iona M. Waddell, 75, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, at a local care center. Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday in White's Mineral Wells Chapel. Burial: Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at White's Mineral Wells Funeral Home. Iona Waddell was born Aug. 8, 1931, in Neelyville, Mo., to James and Ola Wiley. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Beeson, and son, Johnny Waddell. Survivors: Her loving husband of 53 years, the light of her life, her friend and bosom buddy, John Waddell; children, Shirley Harpool and husband, David, of Overland, Kan., and Arvel Billington and wife, Joyce, and Hardy Billington and wife, Diane, all of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; and numerous friends whom she loved dearly.
