Lumey David Jump Jr., 74, a retired General Dynamics Electrical Engineer, passed away Monday, February 19, 2007 in Fort Worth following a brief illness.Lumey was born February 5, 1933 in Blanchard, LA. He was proud to have served in the U.S. Air Force. It was a decision he always credited with making a great impact on his life. After serving during the Korean Conflict, he completed his education, graduating from Auburn University and Southern Methodist University. He worked at Cape Canaveral on several space programs and in Fort Worth on the F1-11 and F-16 programs. He is survived by his wife, Jean Hayes Jump; daughter, Jerra Lewis and husband Ceth and their children, Ceaf and Jessa; son, Lumey Jump III and wife, Christy and their son, Chris Buse; son, Jacob Jump and wife, Amy and their children, Tanner and Kolby; son, Ramsey Jump and Carol Amador and their daughter, Olivia; sister, Vernie Smith; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 22, 2007 in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Lane A. Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford.
