June Lynelle Lipstreu

Nell Lipstreu, 80, passed away Monday, March 5, 2007 in Decatur. Graveside service: 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at White's Funeral Home. Nell Lipstreu was born June 9, 1926 in Goldthwaite the daughter of Gorman and Ila Knowles Baker. She grew up in Denton and was employed by the Denton Phone Co. Nell married Bill May 23, 1947. Bill and Nell moved to Boyd in 1954, and later moved to Springtown in 1970. She was an employee of Mitchell Energy in Bridgeport. Nell was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Mykel Blanchard, and infant grandson, Eric Damon Gromatzky. Survivors: Husband of 59 years, Bill Lipstreu of Springtown; daughter, Sandy Brown and husband Richard of Boyd; grandchildren, Donny and Barry Brown both of Boyd; and best friends, Monna Brown, Gwenda Dean, Ruth Ann Carlisle, and Vera Turner.
