Landon Wesley Jones

Landon Wesley Jones, 35, a loving husband, father and friend, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2007, surrounded by his family at his residence in Weatherford. Landon Wesley Jones was born March 4, 1972 in Springfield, Mo., the son of Ben and Linda Jones. Landon and the former Amy Carter were married on Oct. 21, 1995 and together started their family. A resident of Weatherford for the last five years, Landon loved to be outdoors but especially loved being like a brother to everyone he knew. Landon was preceded in death by his grandmother, Coyeta "Nanny" Davis; and great-grandparents, Allen and Thelma Maples. The Jones family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Landon's co-workers at Groendyke Transport. As Landon would say, "Keep on truckin'"! Thank you also to our family and friends at the Weatherford Senior Center and Meals on Wheels of Parker County. Landon is survived by his wife of 11 years, Amy Jones of Weatherford; daughter, Marissa Jones of North Dakota; son, Coy Jones of Weatherford; parents, Ben and Linda Jones of North Richland Hills; brother, Chris Jones and wife, Shannon, of Frisco; grandfather, Joe "Gramps" Davis; grandparents, Ben and Mahala Jones; and a host of other loving family members and friends. A celebration of Landon's life will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2007 at his home. The Jones family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in Landon's memory to the Jones Family Relief Fund at any Compass Bank branch.
