Barrett Spence

Barrett Spence, 16, a student of Aledo High School, died Saturday, March 17, 2007.Barrett Spence was born September 28, 1990 in Fort Worth, Texas son of Richard C. and DeAnn Ray Spence. He was a sophomore honor student at Aledo High School who enjoyed all kinds of music.As a loving big brother and loyal friend, Barrett will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Barrett's love of others will continue living through his special gift of organ donation.Barrett is survived by his parents, Rick and DeAnn Spence of Aledo; brother, Dylan Spence of Aledo; grandparents, Eldon and Judy Ray of Aledo, Richard Spence of Arlington and Carolyn Morton of Alvarado; great grandmothers, Evelyn Wall of Fort Worth and Elva Mae Ray of Aledo; aunts and uncles, Angela and Boe Cohen of Fort Worth and Bill Ray of Aledo. Barrett is also survived by numerous cousins and other family members and a host of friends.Formal funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of Aledo. Burial will follow in the Aledo Brown Cemetery, Aledo. Barrett will lie in state at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford from noon until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, with family visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
