John Jacob Deel

John Jacob "Jake" Deel, 16, of Weatherford, a sophomore at Trinity Christian Academy, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 17, 2007.Jake was born October 4, 1990 in Weatherford, Texas son of Danny and Janet Deel. During his freshman year at Trinity Christian Academy, Jake was named all district center, offensive lineman, while continuing to maintaining a 90+ grade point average. In 2006, Jake formed his own band, "Advan". He played praise music at Youth Harvest Church on Wednesdays for crowds of more than 200 youth. He also played bass in the Trinity Bible Church and Clear Fork Baptist Church praise bands. Jake was a very loving and free spirited person who had a close personal walk with his Lord. Jake was preparing to preach his first message at Trinity Chapel on Wednesday, March 21, 2007. Jake's love for people affected many of all ages. We will love and miss him always.Jake was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Mary Frances Deel. Jake is survived by his parents, Danny and Janet Deel of Weatherford; brother, Matt Deel of Weatherford; sister, Misti Serrano and husband, Tony of Denver, Co; nephews, Kaleb and Anthony Serrano; grandparents, Weldon Deel of Millsap, John and Billie Grimes of Burleson; aunts and uncles, Larry and Marsha Deel of Weatherford, Julie Grimes of Fort Worth, Eddie and Karen Grimes of Burleson; many cousins; and a host of loving friends.Jacob will lie in repose at White's Funeral Home from noon until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2007. A Gathering of Remembrance for friends will be held Monday evening, March 19, 2007 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Trinity Bible Church.Formal funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at Trinity Bible Church. Burial will follow in the Annetta Cemetery.
