Edward Lee Edmiston, 75, passed away quietly at home in Azle, after a courageous battle with cancer, Saturday, March 31, 2007. Funeral: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at White's Azle Chapel. Burial: Azleland Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Edward Edmiston was born in 1932 to Luther and Cal Doni Phillips Edmiston in Waxahachie. He was a long time resident of Azle and a respected member of the community. Mr. Edmiston was an avid hunter and fisherman and active for 35 years in the VFW Post. He had a great love for his family and grandchildren. Mr. Edmiston honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter. Survivors: wife, Ellen Edmiston of Azle; daughter, Debbie Dallas of Benbrook; son, Robert G. Clark and wife, Jessica of Italy; daughters, Michelle Driskell and husband, Ronnie of Haltom City, Candi Kleindienst and husband, Jimmie of Joshua, Mary Stuckey of Haltom City; 13 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
