Jesse Lowell Richardson, 94, a loving father and grandfather, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2007 in Azle. Funeral: 10:00 A.M. Monday at The First United Methodist Church in Azle. Burial: Ringling Cemetery, Ringling, Okla. Jesse was born in Richland Springs in 1912 to Sylvestor and Sarah Richardson. He grew up in Jefferson County, Okla, graduating from high school in Ringling Okla. Jesse married Opal Abshire in 1937 and they had four sons. He came to Texas to work for Convair in 1943 as an electrician, working on planes from B36 to the F111. Jesse retired from Convair (General Dynamics) in 1973. He loved to fish with Opal and his grandchildren. The last several years of his life he drove daily to Azle Manor Nursing Home to visit his good friend Estelle Judd and to help however he could the other residents. Jesse was a very caring man and will be greatly missed. His wife, of 52 years, Opal Abshire, preceded him in death.Survivors: sons, Joe Dean Richardson and wife Judy of Taylor, James Lowell Richardson and wife, Judy of Hurst, Sherman Dale Richardson and wife Betty of Aledo and Cloyd Nelson Richardson and wife, Linda of Peculiar, MO.;he was blessed with eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
