Don H. Fleming, 80, a loving husband, passed away Friday, April 20, 2007 at Azle.Memorial Service: 10:00 A.M. Tuesday in White's Azle Chapel. Memorials: In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Azle Library Fund.Don was born in 1926 to Roy and Pearl Fleming in Fort Worth. He graduated from Amon Carter High School in 1944. Afterward, he served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee working on many building and construction projects as he traveled the globe. He later earned his civil engineering degree at the University of New Mexico. After college, he worked for Gulf, Phillips 66, and Exxon Oil Companies, working in South America and Saudi Arabia then returning to Fort Worth. He told many humorous stories of his life during those times. Upon return to the United States he began a career as Consulting Engineer where he designed and worked on many community water systems as well being a city engineer for several small cities. He was a man of many talents and had a great sense of humor, always entertaining his friends and family with his stories. Don was always lending a helping hand to friends and neighbors. All who knew him described him as a "character", always clever, witty and smart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Lester and Mamie Pearl Fleming and his older brother, Roy Fleming Jr.Suvivors: wife, Stacie D. Fleming; sister, Frances Sinex of Virginia Beach, VA. and numerous family and friends.
