Aledo â?? Nan Perry 67 passed away at her home Saturday April 21, 2007, from complications due to pancreatic cancer. Margaret (Nan) Perry was born August 15, 1939, in Pettus, Arkansas to Pat and Florine Sullivan. After living in several locations during the war, she settled in Henryetta, Oklahoma, where she attended grade and high school. In 1957, she met Burke Perry and they were married on September 14. She finished her senior year and joined her husband at OSU in Stillwater, Okla. While 'putting her husband thru', she gave birth to their daughter. After college she moved to Ponca City, Okla. where her husband worked at Conoco. During a year long assignment in Lamesa, Texas, she gave birth to their son, Burke III. Her husband's new job with General Dynamics, in 1967, took her to White Settlement in Fort Worth. Being an avid reader she donated hundreds of books and helped establish the White Settlement Public Library. The family moved to Aledo in 1974 where she was active in the Aledo Library. During the 70's and 80's she was employed in various fields including dental, medical, cosmetics, and legal. She also had several interests including reading, painting, astrology, crocheting, genealogy, movies and loved to load the kids in the family van and vacation in the western United States. She was always skilled in whatever endeavor she undertook. In 1989 she and her husband bought Aledo Video which she operated until 1997. In 1992 she started raising Yorkshire Terriers in a dog kennel at their home. During this time she even found time to travel to many parts of Europe. From 2000 to present, she and her husband traveled extensively in the US and to the Orient, Australia, and most of Europe. She loved people and had many friends who will miss her very much.She was preceded in death by her parents and younger sister, Marie GarnandSurvivors: Include her husband of 49 years Burke Perry of Aledo; son, Burke B Perry III and wife Charlyne of Seattle, Washington; daughter, Marsha Lyons and partner Michelle Nelson of Fort Worth; sisters, Linda Gasaway and husband Vince of San Antonio and Patrica Righi and husband Ray of Fowler, Illnois; grandchildren, DB Lyons, Bobbie Lee, Adam Lee and Megan Perry; nieces, Valerie, Angie, Rae Ann, Rose Marie Garnand and Heather Gasaway; and numerous other relatives and friends.Funeral services are scheduled 10am Thursday, April 26, 2007 at White's Funeral Home, Weatherford, Texas with interment following at Aledo Cemetery.Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at White's Funeral Home
