Emogene Wiley Jernigan Ericson, 94, went to be with the Lord Friday, May 4, 2007.Born May 18, 1912 in the Amarillo area, Emogene's family moved to San Antonio while she was a child, living there until moving to Weatherford in 1979. She trained and worked as a practical nurse in her early twenties and as a pre-school teacher for many years at Jefferson Methodist Kindergarten and the Head Start Program. Emogene eventually became the director of the Beacon Hill Presbyterian Kindergarten and Day Care Center in San Antonio.She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Franklin and Drucilla Wiley; husbands, Robert Lee Jernigan Jr. and Paul Ericson. Emogene always maintained a happy, positive outlook on life and was loved by all who knew her. She will be missed and fondly remembered by her family and many friends.Survivors include son, Robert Lee Jernigan III and wife, Judy of Austin; daughter, Dianne McMahan and husband, John of Weatherford; granddaughters, Laura Flores of Austin and Amanda Williams and husband, Dean of Aledo; grandsons, Jim Jernigan of Richardson, Dan McMahan and wife, Darlene of Scottsdale, AZ, Christopher McMahan and wife, Gila of Park City, UT; great grandchildren, Lauren and Lexi Williams of Aledo, Kate, Jack and Meredith McMahan of Scottsdale, AZ, William and Harrison McMahan of Park City, UT, and Andy and Mike Flores of Austin; and many other loving family and friends.Funeral services are scheduled 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at Grace First Presbyterian Church, 606 Mockingbird Lane, Weatherford. Interment services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2007 in Sunset Memorial Park, San Antonio. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford.
