Frances Yvonne Wood

Frances Yvonne Wood, 68, born in Parkin, Arkansas on September 30, 1938, went to be with her heavenly Father on Thursday, May 10, 2007.A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many, Frances was a faithful member of the Weatherford North Main Church of God for 35 years. She served as Family Training Hour Director, Sunday school teacher, Girls Club coordinator, choir member, Children's Romanian Mission Leader, and President of the senior's group, The Silver Threads. Among other interests, she enjoyed genealogy research, traveling with her family, and supporting her community.She is survived by her husband, Victory Wood of Springtown; son, Gordon Michael Wood and wife, Vicki, of Cedar Hill; two daughters, Renee' Long and husband, Alvin, of Weatherford and Melissa Crissman of Arlington. She is also survived by one sister, Charlotte Moody of Granbury; and a brother, Kenneth Coley of Louisville, KY. Her family also includes seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her dearest friend, Barbara Jones and husband, Larry.Funeral services are scheduled 10 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2007 at North Main Church of God, 803 N. Main Street, Weatherford. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Weatherford. Visitation will be held 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford.
