James Weldon McDaniel

Jim W. McDaniel, 52, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2007 in Azle. Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Friday at Hilltop Family Church. Burial: Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday at White's Funeral Home. Jim McDaniel was born in Oklahoma City, Okla the son of Clyde Weldon and Mary Elam McDaniel. Despite all of his health problems, Jim, a real fighter, kept going. He loved his family and friends very much. He had been a resident of Springtown since 1980. Jim was proud to be a member of Hilltop Family Church. He coached pee-wee sports for ten years. Jim graduated from Grand Prairie High School where he played on the football team. He married Sheri Jernigan on November 27, 1975. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Don Scanlan. Survivors: wife, Sheri McDaniel of Springtown; sons, Jason McDaniel and wife, Suzanne of Saginaw, Brett McDaniel and fianc?e Char of Temple; Jeremy McDaniel of Temple; grandsons, Connor and Cameron McDaniel; brothers, Bob and Jack Scanlan; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of loving family and friends.
