Ora Reasoner, 91, a loving mother and grandmother, passed away Friday, June 29, 2007.Ora Strickland Reasoner was born March 31, 1916, in Comanche County, Texas, daughter of the late Jackson B. and Dora Haddon Strickland.She married Marion Reasoner on June 29, 1941, in Brown County, Texas. Ora taught in Zephyr and Castleberry schools. A 54 year member of Ash Creek Baptist Church, Ora wrote the history of the church and taught Sunday School for many of those years. She was an active member of the knitting club and a volunteer at the Azle Library.She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Reasoner in 2004; four brothers and two sisters.Survivors include sons, Harold Reasoner and wife, Jodie, James Reasoner and wife, Livia; daughter, Norma Kinchen and husband, John; grandchildren, David, Neal and Steven Reasoner, Travis Kinchen, Jennifer Arthur, Shayna and Joanna Reasoner; great-grandchildren, Haley and James Arthur, Cassandra Kinchen and Drake Reasoner; brother, Wiley Strickland; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services are scheduled 10 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2007 at Ash Creek Baptist Church in Azle. Burial will follow in Azleland Cemetery, Azle. The family will receive guests 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at White's Azle Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Ash Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 300 S. Stewart Street, Azle 76020.
