Frances Elwanda "Wanda" Barton Matlock, 74, of Weatherford, was born Nov. 13, 1932 in Wichita Falls, daughter of the late Thomas P. and Frances Cooksey Barton and passed away Thursday, July 12, 2007 in Fort Worth. Wanda was a graduate of Belton High School and Draughons Business College, a long-time resident of Weatherford, member of South Main Church of Christ and Business and Professional Women's Organization. Mrs. Matlock worked in the automotive industry for over fifty years.She is survived by her three children, Barton Dean Matlock of Weatherford, Robert Matlock and wife, Martha of Georgetown, and Kim Chilcutt and husband, Tommy of Weatherford; grandchildren, Jeremie Matlock of Huntsville, Barton Dean Matlock II of San Antonio, Elizabeth Taylor and husband, Kevin of Georgetown, and Taylor Chilcutt of College Station; step-grandchildren, Brian Chilcutt and wife, Angela of Weatherford and Brandon Chilcutt of Austin; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Barton Durant of Granbury, Patsy Barton Carr of Wichita Falls, Peggy Barton Means and husband, Victor R. Means of Salado; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford. Burial will follow in East Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
