Allan Swan

Al Swan, Sr. ,70, left this life and took his next breath in Heaven Saturday, July 14, 2007 in Boyd. Funeral Service: 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 18 in White's Chapel. Burial: Annis Chapel Cemetery, Springtown. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at White's Funeral Home.Al was born June 22, 1937 in Cleveland, Ohio to Walter and Irene Swan. He was retired from United States Marine Corp. after more than 30 years of service. Al moved to Springtown in 1970 and moved to Wise county in 2003. He had a big heart, loved his family and community. Al was very active in everything, a member of Annis Chapel Baptist Church and had been on the Springtown City Council and had served on Parker County Utility District. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Clorus Mae Swan in 1972, his parents, and sister, Judy Cupp.Survivors: wife, Ellen Swan; brother, Joseph Swan; sons, Allan Swan Jr. and Lynn, Mike Swan, Robert and Joanna Swan and Marc Swan; grandchildren, Jason and Jennifer Swan, Jessica Gideon and Steve, Joey Swan, Robert Wayne Swan, Jennifer Swan, Ricky Swan, Sarah Swan, Mikie Swan and Marshall Swan; great-grandchildren, Korbin and Christian.
