Mollie Ruth Stearns

Mollie Ruth Homsley James Stearns, a long time resident of Parker and Palo Pinto counties, passed away July 19, 2007 in Weatherford where she resided.Mrs. Stearns was born in Poolville, Texas, September 15, 1915, where she grew up before moving to Weatherford. For many years she was active in youth work at The First Baptist Church in Weatherford. During her life she traveled and lived in interesting places including California and Nevada before returning to Texas to live in Mineral Wells and Weatherford for the last few decades.She is preceded in death by her husband Walter E. Stearns. Her survivors include her son Gary James, of Fort Worth, her daughter Madeline Davis of Los Altos Hills, California. Mrs. Stearns had four grandchildren, Shayla Potter of Fort Worth, Sharyl Givens, and Greg Davis of California and Mark Adam James. She had four great grandchildren whom she loved very much, Kieran, Mason & Kayden Potter of Texas and Anabelle Davis of California.A graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2007 in thePoolville Cemetery, Poolville.
