Anita C. Welch

Anita C. Welch, 89, of Springtown, died July 21, 2007 in an area nursing home.Mrs. Welch was born March 25, 1918 in Lindale, Texas and is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd R. Welch; parents; son-in-law, Glen Barnes; brother-in-law, Bill; and sister, Georgene.Anita retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 29 years of service. Anita and Floyd had resided in Springtown since 1973. Her joy was her home and family. Anita was a member of the Springtown Church of Christ. After the death of her son-in-law in 2000, Anita resided with her daughter until May 2007 when she moved to the nursing home. Anita is survived by her daughter, Jocelyn of Springtown; grandson, Kelly and Pam and great granddaughters, Allyson and Jordan of Lincoln, NE; grandson, Michael and Maureen and great grandson, Matthew of Springtown; great grandson, Zane of Princeton, TX; sister, Mosene of Panama City, Fla.; several nieces and nephews and many cherished friends.Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2007 at White's Springtown Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Springtown Cemetery. The family will receive guests 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home in Springtown.
