Nellie Merrie Verden

SPRINGTOWN -- Nellie Merrie Verden, 64, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend went to be with her Lord Wednesday, August 1, 2007. Memorial service: 10:00 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007 at Outreach of Love Assembly of God. Nellie was born April 2, 1943 in Aberdeen, Miss. to Lee and Olene Sullivan. She had been a nurse's aide and was a very generous and helpful person to those in need. Nellie was preceded in death by her father; a daughter, Leetha Ann Merritt in 1966; and granddaughter, Rosamerrie Bosque in 1997. Survivors: husband, Larry Verden of Springtown; daughters, Angela Merritt-Bosque of Puerto Rico and Cathy Gentry of Weatherford; sons, J.R. Merritt of Bethany, Okla., Jerry Verden of Keller and Allen Verden of Fort Worth; mother, Olene Guest; sister, Betty Paul; brother-in-law, Riley Verden and wife, Dianne Verden of Springtown; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren
