William Beaty, 83, went to be with the Lord, after a courageous battle with cancer, Saturday, August 4, at home surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday at First Baptist Church of Briar. Burial will be Private. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at White's Azle Funeral Home. Ernest was born July 12, 1924 in Parker County the son of John and Myrtle Looper Beaty. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Mr. Beaty was a Wise County resident most of his life. He retired from Howell Instruments in Ft. Worth. After his retirement, Mr. Beaty spent eight years in Arkansas. He was a former deacon and a current member of First Baptist Church of Briar. Mr. Beaty was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Vance Beaty; and grandchildren, Larry and Laura Morris. Survivors: Wife of 65 years, Lois Beaty; children, Linda Stephens and husband, Steve of Boyd, Judy Westmoreland and husband, Audie of Azle, Don Beaty and wife, Chris of Boyd, and Cathy Markham and husband, Bill of Boyd; sister, Billie Auvenshine; grandchildren, Kalynn, Amy, Renee, Jennifer Ann, Jana Raye, Eric, Brandon, Nicole, Shay, Dustin, Misti and Shawn; great-grandchildren, Brandi, Stefanie, Nikki, Jeremy, Ashley, Dakota, Audie Ray, Zackary, Alannah, Zander, Emiley, Dalton, Addyson, Cameron, Dawson; and great-great-grandchildren, Bryleigh,Jocelyn, Hailey, and Gavin.
